Pacific Oyster, Crassostrea gigas, Here you can see the famous coffin Bay Oysters which are pacific oysters raised in farms. The demand for Oysters from this area is so high that sometimes Oysters are brought in from other areas and kept in Coffin Bay for a few months and can be called Coffin Bay oysters. These particular ones came straight of the water only and hour before and had many small mussels growing on them which can be a nuisance for the oyster farmers if there are too many of them, Coffin Bay, Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, Australia, Southern Ocean
